Veneers

Veneers are thin coverings that are placed over the front (visible) part of the tooth.

They look like natural teeth. Veneers can be used to correct a wide range of dental issues, such as teeth that are stained and can’t be whitened by bleaching, chipped or worn teeth.

Nowadays, veneers have extensive use in dental clinics. The dentist should inform patients well before having the veneers done. Many patients choose this treatment when they have misaligned, discoloured, or irregularly shaped teeth.

Types of Dental Veneers.

Dental veneers can be made from porcelain or from resin composite materials.

  • EMAX
  • COMPOSITE

Emax-I or porcelain resin is a material that has been used for many years. This material is strong and achieves a great aesthetic.

To prepare a tooth for a veneer, your dentist will reshape the tooth surface, which is an amount nearly equal to the thickness of the veneer to be added to the tooth surface; when we have Emax veneers, the dentist has to trim more enamel to create the needed space. Emax veneers are made in 1-2 days.

Composite veneers are widely used nowadays, as it doesn’t require enamel trimming, so it saves healthy tooth tissue. Patients can choose any of the materials according to their needs and preference. Composite veneers require just one session.
