What Is All-on-4?
All-on-4 is a full-arch implant technique that replaces an entire row of teeth using four titanium implants. Two are placed vertically at the front of the jaw; two are angled posteriorly at approximately 45 degrees to maximise contact with the available bone. This angulation is the key engineering insight: it allows the surgeon to access denser anterior bone, meaning many patients with significant bone loss can proceed directly to All-on-4 without the bone grafting that conventional implant placement would require.
The result is a fixed, non-removable full arch of teeth — supported by four roots fused into your jawbone — that functions and looks like natural teeth.
All-on-4 vs. Removable Dentures

Pre-Surgical Digital Planning
Your CBCT scan data is imported into our digital planning software, where the exact position, angulation, and depth of each implant is mapped before any surgery takes place. Where the case warrants it, a surgical guide is fabricated in our in-house laboratory to transfer this plan directly to the operating field — reducing intraoperative variability and improving placement accuracy.
Surgery Day
All four implants are placed in a single surgical session under local anaesthesia. Sedation is available for patients who prefer it. Any remaining teeth requiring extraction are removed at the same appointment. A full-arch procedure typically takes three to five hours.
A fixed provisional bridge — fabricated in advance in our laboratory — is attached to the implants the same day. You leave KissDent with functional, fixed teeth.
Healing and Osseointegration
Over the following three to six months, the implants fuse with the surrounding bone. The provisional prosthesis remains in place and in function throughout this period. We monitor integration with follow-up imaging before proceeding to the final restoration.
Final Restoration
Once osseointegration is confirmed, the definitive full-arch bridge is designed digitally and milled in our in-house CAD/CAM laboratory — standard material is monolithic zirconia, chosen for its combination of exceptional strength and a natural appearance. The bridge is fitted, bite-adjusted, and polished at the final appointment.

How Many Trips Do I Need?

I went to Kissdent to see about old crowns (30 years old) and recent work that I had done in the EU that I was not happy with. With a panoramic xray (and visual aesthetic check) it was clear what needed to be done.
Fast-forward 2 weeks and I write now, with 9 beautiful new zirconium crowns. They are mostly back molars but one that I worried about most was my left front tooth. I have a difficult tooth colour to match.
Kissdent staff have done a wonderful job. The clinic and lab are located on the same premises so they are able to adjust the tooth colour and overall bite precisely.
