Types of Digital X-Rays We Offer
Periapical X-rays capture the full length of one or more individual teeth, including the root and surrounding bone. These are used to assess root health, detect infections, and evaluate bone loss around specific teeth.
Bitewing X-rays show the upper and lower teeth in a single image and are particularly useful for detecting decay between teeth and assessing the height of bone supporting the teeth.
Panoramic X-rays (OPG) provide a broad view of the entire mouth, including all teeth, the jaw, the temporomandibular joints, and the sinuses. These are typically used at the beginning of a comprehensive treatment plan.
CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) provides a full three-dimensional view of the dental structures. This is the imaging we use for implant planning, bone grafting assessment, and complex surgical cases.
Each type of imaging serves a specific clinical purpose. We choose the right scan for your situation, not the most expensive one.
3D Imaging and CBCT Scanning
For complex cases, standard two-dimensional digital X-rays are not always sufficient. Implant planning, bone assessment before grafting procedures, sinus anatomy evaluation, and the positioning of impacted teeth all benefit from three-dimensional imaging.
At KissDent, we use the latest generation 3D scanning technology, which provides high resolution images of your bone structure, dental anatomy, and surrounding tissues while delivering radiation doses significantly lower than those of older scanning systems. You get more diagnostic detail with less exposure.
This technology allows our surgical team to measure exact bone dimensions before placing an implant, plan sinus lift procedures with precision, and identify anatomical features that would be invisible on a flat film. Radiation Safety at KissDent
We understand that patients are sometimes concerned about radiation from dental X-rays. The doses used in modern digital radiography are extremely low. A full set of digital dental X-rays delivers a radiation dose comparable to a short flight, and significantly less than a panoramic chest X-ray.
Our 3D scanning system uses doses substantially lower than traditional CT scanning while producing images of equal or greater diagnostic quality. We apply the ALARA principle, meaning we use the lowest dose necessary to obtain the information we need, and we do not take X-rays unless there is a clear clinical reason to do so.

Ho trovato due dottoresse molto pazienti che mi hanno fatto sentire a mio agio e mi hanno ben consigliato sui lavori da eseguire. L’interprete straordinaria, non mi ha mai abbandonato (in caso di difficoltà durante il soggiorno potevo raggiungerla telefonicamente ricevendo sempre grande disponibilità e competenza). Mi sono trovato davvero molto bene. Tornerò volentieri a Gennaio per continuare le cure col piacere di incontrare ciascuno/a di loro.
Siamo stati in questa clinica x fare gli impianti, appena arrivati avevamo molti dubbi e ansia non conoscendo nessuno non sapevamo a chi ci stessimo affidando, poi tutto è svanito appena abbiamo conosciuto Berti, Vera, Alba, Renata e il resto dello staff tutti molto gentili disponibili e professionali, non credevamo che in meno di una settimana avremmo fatto metà del lavoro quando in Italia ci sarebbero voluti anni. I went to Kissdent to see about old crowns (30 years old) and recent work that I had done in the EU that I was not happy with. With a panoramic xray (and visual aesthetic check) it was clear what needed to be done.
Fast-forward 2 weeks and I write now, with 9 beautiful new zirconium crowns. They are mostly back molars but one that I worried about most was my left front tooth. I have a difficult tooth colour to match.
Kissdent staff have done a wonderful job. The clinic and lab are located on the same premises so they are able to adjust the tooth colour and overall bite precisely.
All excellent quality work and material for a very reasonable price. Unbeatable in Europe and North America.

Ich hab ein Implantat am Frontzahn bekommen. Das war vor einem halben Jahr, die Behandlung war sehr sanft, sehr einfühlsam und ist fantastisch verheilt. Es hat nicht einen Moment wehgetan und ich hab mich jederzeit gut aufgehoben gefühlt.
Die Praxis ist top ausgestattet und die Mitarbeiterin sind alle sehr nett. Die Termine sind pünktlich, es gibt keine Wartezeit und die Arbeit ist absolut akkurat.
Jetzt hat man mir im dortigen Labor zwei Kronen angefertigt, die absolut natürlich und passgenau gearbeitet sind. Wirklich fantastische Arbeit. Die größte Herausforderung, Kronen im Frontbereich, haben die Ärztin und das angeschlossene Labor zu meiner vollsten Begeisterung gemeistert!
